Starting from September, 13, 2008, Tzu Chi Chinese Academy (Richmond branch) is going to collect and recycle the following items at Cambie Secondary School every Saturday morning. Please consult the list below for the items that we collect. We will announce any updates in the future if there are changes to the collectable item list.

The deposit we get from recycling the beverage containers will go to Tzu Chi Richmond community services as well as covering the expenses of some items such as light bulbs. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask our Tzu Chi Volunteers.

Batteries

   Rechargeable Batteries:      Cell phone, Laptop, Toothbrush etc…

   Alkaline Batteries:      AA, AAA, C, D, 9V, Button cells (watch batteries)

Light bulbs and fluorescent tubes

Beverage Containers (Please rinse before recycle)

                                    Plastic bottles, plastic jugs, aluminum cans, polycoat container, bag-in-a box

                                    and pouches,

                                    Glass bottles and other metal cans.

CDs and DVDs (plastic case not included)

Please note!!  We no longer collect computers and computer accessories!
